unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King, the LORD Almighty.”

Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with tongs from the altar. With it he touched my mouth and said, “See, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away and your sin atoned for.”

Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”

He said, Make the heart of this people calloused; make their ears dull and close their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts, and turn and be healed.”

Then I said, “For how long, Lord?” And he answered: “Until the cities lie ruined and without inhabitant, until the houses are left deserted and the fields ruined and ravaged, until the LORD has sent everyone far away and the land is utterly forsaken. And though a tenth remains in the land, it will again be laid waste. But as the terebinth and oak leave stumps when they are cut down, so the holy seed will be the stump in the land.”

Question: First, why did you say: “Make the heart of this people calloused; make their ears dull and close their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts, and turn and be healed.”? This implies that you deliberately made them deaf and blind.

God’s answer:

My sheep know My voice.
I do not throw My pearls at swine.

Question: So your words are only meant for your sheep? This seems contradictory to how I understood your previous answer, which is that it is not you who blinds and deafens us but that we do.

God’s answer:

Inquiring minds want to know
This is how I separate the wheat from the darnel

Meaning: Matthew 13:24-30- He put another parable before them, 'The kingdom of Heaven may be compared to a man who sowed good seed in his field. While everybody was asleep his enemy came, sowed darnel all among the wheat, and made off. When the new wheat sprouted and ripened, then the darnel appeared as well.

The owner's labourers went to him and said, "Sir, was it not good seed that you sowed in your field? If so, where does the darnel come from?"

He said to them, "Some enemy has done this." And the labourers said, "Do you want us to go and weed it out?"

But he said, "No, because when you weed out the darnel you might pull up the wheat with it.

Let them both grow till the harvest; and at harvest time I shall say to the reapers: First collect the darnel and tie it in bundles to be burnt, then gather the wheat into my barn."'

Question: I don’t understand what you are saying God. Do you or do you not deliberately make people deaf and blind?

God’s answer:

They are already deaf and blind to begin with
